Construction #1 Copy a segment

Given a segment, construct a segment congruent to the given segment.
Construct a segment A'B' equal to the length of segment AB
Steps
1) With your straight edge, draw a ray longer than the segment you will copy. (Estimate)
2) Take the compass put the pointer on one end of the segment you’re copying and the pencil on the other end, make and arc marc.
(This sets the radius to the length of the segment you want to copy)
3) With this radius place the pointer on the endpoint of the ray drawn in step 1, then strike an arc that crosses the ray.
4) Label the new segment if needed
